Quick & Simple Turkey & Sweet Potato (Stovetop)

This is a basic “busy-day” recipe: brown the turkey, soften the sweet potatoes, stir together, done. Easy to portion and freeze.

Ingredients (≈6 lb batch)

  • Protein:
    • 3 lbs ground turkey
  • Vegetables:
    • 3 lbs sweet potatoes, peeled and diced

    • 1–2 tbsp olive oil or coconut oil
  • Liquid:

Cooking Instructions – Stovetop (≈35 min total)

  1. Brown the turkey. In a large pot over medium heat, cook turkey until fully browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Soften the sweet potatoes. Add diced sweet potatoes and 1 cup water/broth. Cover and simmer 15–20 minutes until soft, stirring occasionally.
  3. Combine & finish. Stir well. Add a splash more water/broth if you want a softer mix. Add oil if using.
  4. Cool completely. Cool before portioning and storing.
